Frankie Scott New, 49, of Baird passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at his home. A celebration of life was held at 6:00 p.m. a visitation followed until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at Bailey Howard funeral home of Clyde.
Scott was born September 27, 1976, in Roby to Andy Lee and Jennifer (Collins) New. He attended schools in Lueders-Avoca. He later worked maintenance at Shady Oaks Golf Course for a few years. He was a member of Bible Baptist Church where he loved his church family. He loved to go camping, work cattle, horseback riding and his music. He was a “cowboy” through and through and went on many cattle drives and loved breaking horses. He is loved and will be missed by many family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Angela Clayton-New of Baird; siblings, Angela Sisco of Winters, Amanda New of Clyde, Christina Kirkland and Robbie Kirkland; two aunts, Ruby Kidd and Visue Grice, both of Abilene; nieces, Ashton New of Clyde and Amber New of Jacksonville, North Carolina; nephews, Drew Cumpton of Hodges, Devin Cumpton of Abilene, Andrew New of Winters, Adrian Gonzales and Gage McFadden; the Paul Clayton family; his fur babies, Gracie and BoBo and many other relatives and friends.
Scott was preceded in death by his parents, Andy and Jennifer and his great niece, Taylynn Cumpton.
