Ethyln Tabor Pate

Ethyln Tabor Pate passed away Monday, July 13, 2026 in Abilene at the age of 88.
Ethyln was born November 14, 1937 in Santa Anna to Daniel and Ethel Tabor.  She attended Baird High School, graduating in 1956. She married Jim Pate on July 3, 1958 and they had four children.
Ethyln enjoyed sewing for her family and did so for many years. Watching her grandkids in sporting and academic events was something she was very proud of. She loved her church family at South Park Church of Christ.
Ethyln was a good wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and a friend to many. She will be dearly missed by all who love her.
Ethyln is preceded in death by her parents and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
She is survived by her husband Jim of Baird; daughters Lana Walls (Shorty) of Baird and Jamie Dement (Joel) of Baird; sons Danny Pate and Tommy Pate, both of Baird; grandchildren Caleb Walls (Karli) of Early, Carrie Smith of Baird, Jaden Dement (Zannah) of Hurst, Jennifer Dement of Clyde, Ashton Pate of Abilene, Scotty Burton of Rising Star, Lynsey Gabert, Nolan Dement, Cade Dement and Cole Dement; great grandchildren Brooklynn Manasco, Cooper Walls, Kaydence Walls, Jimma Smith, Forrest Jowers, Teddy Dement, Charlotte Gabert, Piper Gabert, Jack Dement, August Dement and Jude Dement.
Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at Parker-Jacobs Funeral Home. Services will be 10:00 AM Thursday, July 16, 2026 in the Parker-Jacobs Funeral Home Chapel, with Jackie McCarty officiating.  Burial will be at Burkett Cemetery in Coleman County.
