Mona Lisa Rodriguez of Baird passed away Monday, May 25, 2026, at the age of 69.
Mona was born September 14, 1956 in Baird to Frank C. and Dolorez Aparicio Rodriguez. She graduated from Baird High School in 1975. She then graduated from TSTC with a degree in business. She later earned an Associate Degree in in Child Development from Cisco Junior College. Mona dedicated 38 years of service to Abilene ISD, where she made a lasting impact on the lives of countless students, families and colleagues.
She was a member of First Baptist Church Baird for many years. She cherished her faith, family and friends. Her love, kindness and devotion will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She loved crafting and scrapbooking.
Mona was preceded in death by her parents, Frank C. and Dolorez A. Rodriguez.
Survivors include sister Norma Jean Rodriguez of Baird; brother Frankie Rodriguez and wife Kellye of Andrews; niece Kortni M. Pool and husband Brandon of Lamesa; great nephews Bayne, Bryker and Blayde Pool; aunts Sophia Flores and Mary Aparicio and many very special cousins.
She shared a very special bond with Kate-Lynn, Destinee and Jabree Ramos, along with Mary and Jaime Torres, whose love, friendship and support brought her great joy and comfort.
Services were held Sunday, May 31, 2026, at First Baptist Church in Baird, with Jimmy Hatcher officiating. Burial was in Ross Cemetery Annex.
