James Edward Wilson

James Edward Wilson passed away Sunday, February 15, 2026, at the age of 87. James was born January 14, 1939, in Loraine, Texas, to Monroe and Mattie Crelia Wilson. He grew up in Spur. He served two terms in the United States Army, July 1956 to July 1959, at Fort Bliss in El Paso and White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico, and September 1961 to 1964 in France and Germany.
In 1966, he married Mary Tully. They had one son, James Chris Wilson. James worked at Dyess Air Force Base, LTV, TXI, as an electrician and as a real estate agent. He loved playing golf, pool and poker.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Frances Bradshaw, and his son.
He is survived by his wife, Mary.
At James’ request, he will be cremated and no services will be held.
