Mildred F. Fellers of Baird died Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at the age of 93 at Hendrick Hospice Care in Abilene
Mildred was born September 26, 1932 in Leon Junction to Cordie E. (Buddy) and Margaret (Henager) Fellers.
Surviving is a son, Roger Jordan and wife Kim of League City, grandson Josh Jordan and granddaughter Brianna Hill, and three great grandchildren. Also surviving are Mildred’s sisters Rose Jeffus of Fort Worth and Mary Brazelton of Baird, brothers Byron (Sonny) Fellers of Baird and Bobby and Wife Stella (Canada) Fellers of Clyde and numerous nieces and Nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father and one daughter, Karen Sue Whisenhunt; two sisters, Dorothy Yandell and Virginia Moore, and two brothers Marvin Fellers and Billy Fellers.
Mildred grew up as part of a large farm and ranch family in the Trent area. She married at a young age and gave birth to a beautiful daughter, Karen Sue, who passed at the age of seven years, and was very beloved by all the family.
Mildred was well known for her porcelain art works and gifted many pieces to her family and friends. She was an active member of The Abilene Garden Club for many years and gave private lessons to various people who were interested in her style of art. She loved to square dance, fish and read. She was active in church and supported many charities, especially those related to children and Law Enforcement. She also seemed to enjoy a good argument with her siblings from time to time.
Funeral services will be 11:00 Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Parker-Jacobs Funeral Home in Baird followed by burial at Rose Hill Cemetery in Merkel. Mike Terrill and Tony Castro of Cherry Heights Baptist Church of Clyde, where Mildred attended for several years, will officiate.
