Ronald Alan Freiman, 82, of Baird passed away Monday, January 12, 2026, at his home. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery at Abilene with Father Albert Ezeanya officiating under the direction of Bailey Howard Funeral Home of Clyde. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 6:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Ronald was born March 28, 1943, in Chicago, Illinois to Carl and Gertrude (Schilvock) Freiman. He graduated from high school in Chicago and then served his country in the US Air Force. During his service time, he was with the 96th field squadron as a jet and plane mechanic. After moving to Texas, Ronald worked for General Dynamics for many years. He later worked as a cook for many of the restaurants in the Baird and Clyde areas and finally retired from Mrs. Baird’s Breads. He married Linda Skiles in Baird on January 12, 1999.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Linda Freiman of Baird; his son, James Freiman of Clyde; three daughters, Genesse Driver and husband Tom of Baird, Ronda Barron and husband Jason of Cross Plains and Tamarin Greene and husband Jay of Clyde; one brother, Mike Freiman of Missouri; nine grandchildren, Jake, Jennifer, Cayla and husband Tripp, Chance and wife Paris, Coltyn, Jordon, Cayman, Kailen and Zylen; six great grandchildren, Alyssa, Hunter, Cadance, Kyson, Klancee and Miller; his adopted daughter, Misty Young of Abilene; his loving dog, Radar and numerous other relatives and friends.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Gertrude and his brother, Carl Freiman.
