Crawford Dean Hargrove
November 26, 2025
Crawford Dean Hargrove passed away peacefully in his mama's arms Monday, November 17, 2025, at Cooks Children's Hospital in Fort Worth. Crawford was born on April 14,2025 in Fort Worth, where he shared his first breath with his twin sister, Clover.
Crawford is the son of Rode and Taylor Hargrove of Baird.
Crawford's life was met with many obstacles, but that didn’t stop him from having the biggest smile in the room. Crawford loved to be snuggled by his family and play with his favorite toys, he had many.
The only thing he loved as much as his momma was his paci.
We had many dreams for Crawford's life … especially his daddy, who dreamed of taking him fishing, but God had other plans and we trust that he is the arms of Jesus.
Crawford was welcomed to heaven by his grandparents, Evelyn and Javier Landeros; his papa, John Mendez; grandma, Brenda Hargrove; great-aunt, Terri Hargrove; and three great uncles, Ricky Graham, Jerry Newton and Danny Smith.
Crawford is held in the hearts of his parents and sister; Yaya Brandy Graham; grandpa and grandma; Javier and Linda Landeros; sweetie and papa David and Shannon Smith; granny Jackie Mendez; great granny Ann Graham; great grandpa Larry Graham; grandad and grandma Bubba and Shelly Hargrove; aunt Summer Hargrove; aunt and uncle Steven and Payton Forbus; aunt and uncle Chance and Kailey Cauble; uncle Mattox Cauble; uncle Cedar Cauble; great uncle and aunts Jeronimo and Doris Landeros, Chuck and Deon Lawson; great uncle Jr. Mendez; and many beloved cousins
Although Crawford's life was short, his legacy will live on through his gift of organ donation.
We want to express a special thanks to our family and friends who have carried us during this tragedy, as well as the special nurses Crawford has met along the way.
A celebration of Crawford's life was held Thursday, November 20, 2025 at First Baptist Church Baird. Burial was at Buffalo Gap Cemetery.
